Bears are one of many types of beast encounters within Degrees of Lewdity.
Description
Bears are primarily found in the forest, within caves. Deer carcasses will be besides them, indicating their prey. One has somehow managed to obtain Landry's black box, and must be dealt with to obtain the box.
Locations
- At random while exploring the Forest, the player may be alerted of bear prints. Ignoring them can randomly lead to an encounter with one.
- Landry may send the player to retrieve a black box for them. If the player is sent to the forest, one of the places they may randomly find the box is in a bear's cave. Going in to get it will trigger an encounter with the bear.
- The player can stumble across a bear during a hunt with the wolf pack. The player can attack it head-on, in which case success is dependent on the pack's Harmony and Ferocity. Failing simply results in the pack escaping back into the forest.
- The player can also try to distract it. A Skulduggery skill of D+ or higher will guarantee success, but failure will lead to an encounter.
