Kylar's Halloween, otherwise referred to as "Kylar's Halloween date," is one of few event questlines tied to festivities - unique events within Degrees of Lewdity that takes place within a specific date and time (October 31st) and will not be encountered otherwise.

Kylar is the last person to be involved in the Halloween festivities that take place within the town, and has the most involved event out of the four events of the overarching Halloween questline:

Synopsis

Akin to other love interests such as Robin and Whitney, Kylar has their own idea for spending Halloween with the player - The following event occurs after the player heads to the park after 9PM on the 31st of October:

Meet them at the park when night falls, and find out what they have planned.

Prerequisites

At some point, at high enough Love, Kylar will proposition the player. Note that this can only be done while school is in session, such as during English class (while Kylar sits next to the player, and has not been sent out) or a random encounter in the school hallways. Kylar will not bring up the offer outside of school.

Kylar leans closer, saying to the player that there's something they (Kylar) would like to show them (the player) on Halloween - and to meet them in the park, after 9PM. This proposition will be said to the player before the 31st of October - Halloween night. It is possible to get the proposition on the 21st of October, the same day festivities will begin - indicated by Robin, as well as the forest shop's new clothing items now made available.

To proceed with this event, the player must do the following:

  • Meet Kylar after 9PM at the park.
  • It must be on Halloween night - the 31st of October. Before or after this date will have this event not occur.
  • Kylar must not have anything or very little in their "Jealousy" stat, listed in the Social tab, or be dismissed. *Someone check this out, I don't think its true.*

Walkthrough

This event has many branching paths. This is an extensive questline, one of the most content-heavy in the game. This section will detail every event that occurs during this sequence.

Kylar's Halloween Date (part 1)

When the player arrives at the park on the agreed date and time, Kylar will creep out from the shadows, wearing gothic attire, and heavy makeup - with the player noting it takes a moment to recognise them like that. "Happy Halloween," they state, with them seeming excited. They tell the player that there is something they want to show them, before trying to lead them to it by saying "This way."

This gives the player two options:

  • Go with Kylar (1:00) | + Love
  • Refuse | - Love

Refusing this request simply has the player turn and walk away. Kylar watches the player go, stood alone in the park.

Going with Kylar has Kylar lead the player throughout the park, and onto Nightingale Street. The player passes by delinquent students, with them being too drunk to recognisie Kylar. The two pass the hospital, and walk down a small lane leading away from the town - the trees grow denser, but Kylar does not slow down.

This gives the player two more options:

  • Keep walking
  • Hesitate

Hesitating has the player stop at the edge of the road. Kylar turns. They hesitate themselves before speaking. "I-It's not far," they say, holding out their hand.

This gives the player two more options once more:

  • Go with Kylar | + Love
  • Refuse | - Love

Refusing this request simply has the player turn and walk away, just as before. Kylar watches the player go, stood alone at the edge of the forest.

Choosing to "Go with Kylar" will loop back into the "Keep walking" option. If the player picks either of the options to continue the trip with Kylar, the player enters the forest - there is no path that can be seen in the gloom, but Kylar seems to know where they are going.

The trees become denser, until they at once give way, opening onto the cemetery. Kylar smiles at the sight, with them remarking that they "wanted to do something special for Halloween." They point over the site, at the manor on the hill, stating that "no one is brave enough to go in", with them betting there's treasure. They then proceed to grasp the player's arm, stepping forward.

The player is given two options:

  • Continue
  • Get angry | - Love

If the player gets angry, they will shake Kylar's hand away before saying the following:

  • Defiant: You shake Kylar's hand away. "Fuck off," you say. "I'm not going into some dangerous ruin just because it's Halloween."
  • Neutral: "You should have told me what you had planned," you say. "I'm not okay with this."
  • Submissive: "What made you think I'd be okay with this?" you ask. "I don't want to go into such a scary place on Halloween."

Kylar looks at their feet. "S-sorry," they say. "I-I thought we could be alone a-and do something fun."

Two more options are granted to the player:

  • Walk to the manor | + Love
  • Insist on leaving | - Love

Marching Back Home (alternative option)

If the player insists on leaving, this starts it's own small sequence of events - the player marches back through the forest, with Kylar stammering apologies, telling the player to "please don't be mad" at them.

Two more options are granted to the player:

  • Keep marching
  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1

If the player chooses the "Kiss option", they turn and wrap their arms around Kylar, pulling them into a kiss. They lean into the player for a moment, as if unable to support their own weight. The player pulls away, leaving them with a blissful smile and smudged makeup.

Two more options are given:

  • Walk back to town
  • Push Kylar to the ground | Promiscuity 2

Walking back to town has the player's hold Kylar's hand on the rest of the way back to town.

  • Defiant:  "That's what I thought you had in mind," you say. "Not some creepy adventure."
  • Neutral:  "I thought you just wanted some privacy in the forest," you say.
  • Submissive: "I-I thought you just wanted me in the forest for privacy," you say. "Sorry if I was rude."

Kylar does not respond, but tightens their hand around the player's. Once the two emerge on Wolf Street, Kylar says that they need to go - before thanking the player, giving them a lingering hug before scurrying away.

Pushing Kylar to the ground will have the player do just that, with Kylar gasping as the player pushes them to the forest floor. This initiates a consensual encounter.

If the player makes Kylar orgasm, or tells them no (via soft mode): Kylar lies on the ground besides the player, their costume disheveled. The two climb to their feet once more, with the player holding Kylar's hand the rest of the way back to town. Kylar says that they need to go - before thanking the player, giving them a lingering hug before scurrying away.

If the player fights off Kylar: The player pushes away Kylar, escaping towards town. "W-wait!" they shout after the player, saying that they are sorry. As soon as the player makes it to Wolf Street, they look behind them, only to see Kylar is not there.

If the player continues marching,  they do just that with Kylar in tow. The player soon spots light from the town up ahead. Kylar steps in front of the player, blocking their path - they avoid eye contact, asking if the player forgives them.

  • Yes | + Love | - - Jealousy
  • No | - Love | + + Jealousy

If the player says yes, they will say the following depending on their personality:

  • Submissive: "O-of course I do," you say. "Just try not to scare me in the future."
  • Neutral: "Yes," you say. "I was just frightened."
  • Defiant: "Sure," you say. "Just try not to be so weird in the future."

Kylar responds with a sigh of relief. The player emerges onto Wolf Street - they look behind them but Kylar is no longer there.

If the player says No, they ignore Kylar and walk around them - emerging onto Wolf Street. They look behind them, but Kylar is no longer there.

Spooky Manor (part 3)

If the player chooses one of these options that loop back into each other - "Continue," or "Walk to the manor," the event proceeds. A small addition to flavour text appears for the latter option - despite the player's misgivings, the player marches past Kylar and into the cemetery. They hurry to catch up, leading into the "Continue" option.

The default option is choosing to "Continue" with Kylar. This has the player walk towards the cemetery, towards the manor on the hill. Kylar seems energised, and keeps walking ahead of the player. The pair arrives at the tall front doors, the mansion seemingly bigger up close as it looms into the sky - causing the player to stand besides Kylar for a moment, with no sound but the howling wind. Kylar pushes in a key, turning it. The door clicks open.

Kylar uses their phone as a torch, lighting up the interior. Each step agitates a cloud of dust. It's noted that there are doors to the left and right, leading to deeper rooms - while a staircase leads to the next floor.

"This way," Kylar says to the player, taking a sure step to the left. The player follows, into the next room past grey sheets concealing pieces of furniture, and into another room. It seems that at one point it was a kitchen, or has the appearance of one. Kylar crouches, and feels around the dusty floor.

"Here!" They throw open a trapdoor, and points their phone torch down. "There's a ladder," they state, turning and feeling with their feet. They climb down, leaving the kitchen dark. The player hears a floorboard creak in the room previous to the current one, causing stress as well as prompting them to climb down after Kylar.

Dark Cellar (part 4)

The player follows Kylar into the cellar, past several wine racks. It's noted that they are mostly empty, although a few hold empty bottles. Kylar exclaims that there is one left, before saying that they knew they would find something. They proceed to point the torch at a bottom shelf, it still holds a full bottle. Kylar lifts it, and pulls a corkscrew from their pocket. Without hesitation, they uncork it, and hold it to the player. "Y-you first," they say.

There's a strange purple fruit on the label. It looks familiar, but the player can't place it.. It smells sweet.

This gives the player two options:

  • Drink
  • Refuse | - Love

If the player has at least an A in History:

There's a strange purple fruit on the label. The player is reminded of a story Winter told during history class. The town used to make a wine they claimed was a love potion. The recipe lost to time. A surviving bottle should be worth a lot.

They're sure Kylar knows that as well.

The player is given three options instead:

  • Drink it
  • Refuse
  • Get angry

If the player drinks: They take a swig. It's sweet, and not a little sour. This gives the player 60 points towards all three influencial effects - Alcohol, Drugs, and Hallucinogens. Meanwhile, Kylar stares at the player, prompting the player to offer the bottle. They look disappointed as they take a swig. The pair leave the cellar shortly afterwards.

If the player refuses to drink, they will say the following:

  • Submissive: "I-I don't want to drink," you say. "It might be poisonous."
  • Neutral:  "No thank you," you say. "We don't know where it's been."
  • Defiant:  "I'm not drinking some stale mystery wine," you say.

Kylar states that it is safe to drink, before taking a swig themselves and wincing shortly afterwards. They note it's "just a bit strong."

This gives the player two more options:

  • Drink
  • Refuse again

Choosing the former option loops back to the player drinking - granting the hazardous effects. Refusing again instead has Kylar take another swig, handling it better this time. They look disappointed, but does not push. The pair leave the cellar shortly afterwards.

If the player got angry instead, they'll persecute Kylar, saying this:

  • Defiant: "How fucking dare you," you say. "I trust you. Follow you into some creepy house, and you try to drug me?" Kylar shakes her/his heads. "N-no," she/he says. "That's not-""And you uncorked it," you add. "It was fucking valuable. I need that money."
  • Neutral: "I know what that is," you say. "I can't believe I trusted you." Kylar shakes her/his heads. "N-no," she/he says. "That's not-""And you uncorked it," you add. "It was valuable. I could use the money."
  • Submissive: "I-I know what that is," you say. "You're being creepy." Kylar shakes her/his heads. "N-no," she/he says. "That's not-""It would have been worth a lot of money," you add. "But you uncorked it."

After this Kylar will run away and you will find them in front of locked door.

Pranking Kylar (part 4.5)

If Player knows that it's the "love potion" and still drinks it they can pretend that it worked.

  • Defiant: "That's hard stuff," you say, swaying on the spot. You look at Kylar. "Damn. Were you always so hot?"
  • Neutral: "I feel strange," you say, swaying on the spot. You look at Kylar. "You look really pretty tonight."
  • Submissive: "I feel funny," you say, swaying on the spot. You look at Kylar. "You're so pretty!"

Kylar will fall to your play and suggest a kiss, accepting it will decrease her jealousy and increase love and leads to a consensual sex. After this, Player will "snap out of effect of potion".

  • Defiant: She/he pants on the ground. You blink and look around, as if unsure where you are. "That was forward of me," you say. "I felt so strange all of a sudden. Good thing you were here."
  • Neutral: She/he pants on the ground. You blink and look around, as if unsure where you are. "I don't know what came over me," you say.
  • Submissive: She/he pants on the ground. You blink and look around, as if unsure where you are. "Sorry," you say. "I don't know what came over me."

Kylar will say that they didn't mind and will help you cum if you didn't during the encounter. After this you will go to the door.

More fun awaits if you decide to scare the everloving crap out of Kylar, which will heavily reduce their jealousy and a bit of your trauma.

  • Defiant: "Fuck that," you laugh, grasping an empty bottle. You hold it above your head, as if about to bludgeon. "We're gonna be together forever."
  • Neutral: "I need more than that," you laugh, grasping an empty bottle. You hold it above your head, as if about to bludgeon. "We're gonna be together forever."
  • Submissive: "K-kiss you?" you laugh, grasping an empty bottle. You hold it above your head, as if about to bludgeon. "Not enough. We're going to be together forever!"

Kylar will try to reason with you before running away. After chasing her you notice shuffling beneath the table, you can either scare them even more by looking under table or look behind curtains. It doesn't matter what you choose since they will run away, making you chase after them. When you pin them down they will cover their face in fear, Player decides that this is enough and can either

  • Play dumb:
    • Submissivnes doesn't affect this: "Where am I?" you say, looking around. You put the bottle down as Kylar peers between her fingers. "Wha-" you look around. "Weren't we downstairs? Why do you look so frightened?"
  • Come clean (- - Love):
    • Defiant: You laugh more naturally as the bottle thuds to the ground. Kylar peers through her fingers, looking confused. "Scared?" you say. "Serves you right. Trying to drug me like that."
    • Neutral: You laugh more naturally as the bottle thuds to the ground. Kylar peers through her fingers, looking confused. "That's what you get for trying to drug me," you say.
    • Submissive: You laugh more naturally as the bottle thuds to the ground. Kylar peers through her fingers, looking confused. "Sorry," you says. "But you shouldn't give people love potions without their consent."

Kylar will breath sigh of relief, you kiss her, starting consensual encounter, or stand up.

Either way you end up at the locked door.

Locked Door (part 5)

Kylar tries the door, but the pair realize that it is locked , with the key refusing to even fit inside. "That's odd," Kylar notes. They say that it worked on the way in. As they try different angles, the player hears a loud creaking sound from the floor above. Kylar freezes in place for a moment, before looking over to the player and saying that they should "try something else", stuttering on their words slightly. They crouch in front of their lock, shining the torch inside.

They poke around for a few minutes, "Can't do it," they say out of frustration. Kylar states how they have never seen a lock like this, before shining their torch around the edge of the hall, looking for windows - all locked as well. They suggest to the player that they should try upstairs, with another creak answering them.

This gives the player two options:

  • Pick the front lock (0:05)
  • Search upstairs

Skulduggery will come in handy for both options, although it is not required to progress at all.

Pick the Lock (part 5.5)

Picking the lock has the player peer into it, noting it is like nothing they have seen before. The player will need exactly max Skulduggery (1000) to successfully break through the lock - the default option simply has the player not be able to "work out how it's even supposed to work." Kylar watches, anxious, but does not interrupt. The player steps away from the door.With no other options, they head upstairs - leading into the second option.

A Terrifying Fright!

However, if the player has max Skulduggery instead, the player relishes the challenge. They place their ear against the door while the player pokes around, trying to fathom its inner workings. Kylar will watch once more, but this time when the player applies pressure just so, the lock clicks open - with Kylar gasping in surprise.

The player and Kylar escapes the manor, bathed in red moonlight. They start giggling, saying how the trip was fun, and they are just about to say to the player that they should do it again when they almost trip as something catches their foot, causing them to scream.

A pale hand protrudes from the earth, and clutches Kylar's ankle. They manage to shake it free, just as another erupts and gropes after them. This grants a large increase to the Awareness stat, and happens regardless of any points in that stat.

More hands emerge around them. Kylar grasps the player's, and together the pair run for the forest.

They keep running, unbothered by fatigue, until the player spots the lights of town up ahead. Kylar stops and leans against the player, panting. Their costume and hair are disheveled, and they lost a few accessories during the pair's flight. They look at the player, wrapping their arms around their waist, pulling the player closer.

This gives the player two options:

  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1 | + + Love | + + Lust
  • Pull away | - Love

Choosing to kiss Kylar has the player lean forward and plant a kiss on Kylar's lips. They pull the player to the forest floor - which the player responds by pushing Kylar to the floor instead. This initiates a consensual encounter - for scenes related to the aftermath, refer back to the "Marching Back Home" option.

If the player pulls away, they will say the following:

  • Defiant:  "Really?" you ask. "Now? After what just happened?"
  • Neutral:  "Not now," you say. "There's a lot to process."
  • Submissive: "N-not now," you say. "I'm still too frightened."

Kylar looks away, as the player continues towards the town. They turn back towards Kylar when they arrive on Wolf Street, but Kylar is not there.

Search Upstairs (part 6)

Searching upstairs has the player peer up the staircase, into the gloom above. Kylar points their phone torch up, revealing more grey sheets lining the walls - they might be covering paintings, after all. Kylar says that they will go first, with them almost sounding more excited than anxious - despite a stutter in their words.

The player follows them up the creaky staircase, and into the closest room. Several tall pieces of furniture line the walls. A large, four poster bed stands near the window. Unlike the other furniture, it is not covered in a grey sheet, although one lies on the floor beside it. At this point, the player hears movement!

  • If the player has low dancing skill: "You hear movement, but it's too late. A hand lunges from beneath one of the sheets, accompanied by a terrible screech, and grasps your arm."
  • If the player has high dancing skill: "The player feels their hand stand on end. There's no dust on the bed. The sheet was moved recently. The thought has barely entered the player's mind when they hear movement. They manage to jump aside just as a hand lunges from beneath one of the sheets, accompanied by a terrible screech."

Whitney's Appearance (part 7)

The rest of the tall sheet-covered furniture comes to life, screeching as the player and Kylar back into a corner. Now that they move, the player spots human outlines beneath. One of them rushes forward, but stops as Kylar readies her pepper spray.

Another figure steps in front of the others, a familiar swagger in its gait.

"Saw you talking to this creep in the park," says Whitney, pulling the sheet off their head and revealing their demon costume - their friends follow suit. Kylar seems no less terrified. Their eyes dart around the room, searching swiftly for a way out.

Alternative Outcome (max Skulduggery)

If the player used Skulduggery to their advantage, they will not be taken surprise by Whitney's antics.

At this point, the player has two options:

  • Applaud Whitney
  • Get Angry

If the player applauds Whitney, the player will say the following, laughing:

  • Defiant: "Good job Whitney," you say. "Almost had me scared."
  • Neutral:  "Good one Whitney," you say. "You had us scared."
  • Submissive: "You were really scary," you say. "Well done."

"You like that?" Whitney smirks. They say that the player will "love this", before instructing them to get on their knees - they are going to show Kylar (referring to them as this "creep") who the player belongs to.

However, if the player gets angry at Whitney, they will instead say the following:

  • Defiant:  "Fuck you," you say. "I was almost scared."
  • Neutral:  "You think that's funny?" you ask. "I was terrified."
  • Submissive:  "Y-you scared me," you say. "Apologise."

"That's the point," Whitney replies. They ask why else would the player come here with that "creep", before sarcastically saying that they were hoping they were not planning anything "naughty". They pause briefly, before speaking up once more - just to be sure, they say to the player that they are going to show Kylar (referring to them as a creep once more) who they belong to, before instructing the player to get on their knees.

Regardless of how the player reacts, Whitney will retort with the same request - the player must get on their knees and sexually serve them. Meanwhile, Kylar grips the pepper spray, their knuckles white.

This gives the player three options:

  • Grudgingly do as Whitney asks | + + Trauma | + Stress
  • Enthusiastically do as Whitney asks | Promiscuity 4
  • Refuse

Doing as Whitney asks (part 7.5)

If the player chooses the first option, the player hesitates, before walking over to Whitney. They drop their knees in front of them. Whitney pulls their loincloth aside, revealing their genitalia and grasping the back of the player's head. This gives a boost to Whitney's Dominance stat. Kylar tries to intervene, but they are restrained by Whitney's friends. They hold their head back, forcing them to watch. A similar option happens if the player chooses the second option, but the player does not hesitate - them walking up to Whitney right away, and dropping their knees right in front of them.

This is a big increase to Kylar's Jealousy stat, as well as initiating a non-consensual encounter.

While the encounter takes place, it is noted that "Kylar watches with a blank expression."

  • If the player fights off Whitney: Whitney staggers, and stumbles to the ground. The player wastes no time as they climb back up their feet, but before the player can get their bearings, Whitney's friends are on top of them grasping their shoulders.
    • The player struggles in an attempt to resist, but there are too many. Whitney leans against the four poster bed, asking if the player wants "softening" up first, before they continue. Their friends screech as they shove the player onto the bed.
  • If the player makes Whitney orgasm: Their friends screech and cheer, and shove Kylar to the floorboards. Whitney leans against the four poster bed. "It's a special night," they say to the player.

Regardless of the player's actions, Whitney asks the following question: "How about you give my friends a go?" For the latter option, the screeching intensifies from Whitney's friends, as the player wastes no time rising to their feet - they do not have time for anything more.

Both options lead into several hands grasping the player's shoulders, and shove the player onto the bed.

Refusing Whitney

If the player refuses Whitney's request, the following event occurs instead:

The player shakes their head. Whitney gestures at one of their friends, who rushes forward with a shout. They receive a faceful of pepper spray, and staggers backwards with a cry. Two more rush forward, decreasing Whitney's dominance.

Kylar sprays one while ducking under the other's attempt to grapple them. They twists around, and sprays the other at point-blank. The three of them retreat into the corner. Whitney gestures once more, but their remaining friends hesitate. "You're scared of this freak?" Whitney says. They note that the spray's empty.

Kylar pulls the player behind them, keeping a grip on the player's arm as the pair walk to the exit. Another of Whitney's friends block the way, but they back off when Kylar thrusts the spray forward.

Whitney calls their friends "fucking cowards" before stepping closer. Kylar holds down the spray, but nothing comes out. Whitney proceeds to wraps an arm around Kylar's neck, and holds them above the ground.

"R-Run-" Kylar manages.

This gives the player three options:

  • Run
  • Help Kylar | Physique: Challenging
  • Use your own pepper spray (if the player has at least 1 full pepper spray charge)
Help Kylar
Physique Check Success

The player will need very high Physique to succeed. In most cases, the player will fail the check by nature of it being very challenging to succeed - even at max Physique, it is still up to luck for the player to succeed.

If the player somehow manages to do this, the player will grasp Whitney's arms and successfully pull them away from Kylar. Together, the pair escape down the stairs and through the now-open front doors, leading outside. They run into the forest.

Kylar stops at one point, leaning against a tree, heavily panting. They suddenly lunge forward, throwing their arms around the player.  

"You shouldn't have risked it," they say. | + Love | - - Jealousy    

This gives the player two options:

  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1 | + + Love | + + Lust
  • Pull away | - Love

If the player chooses to use their own pepper spray, it will have the same outcome as above.

For both outcomes, refer back to the "A Terrifying Fright" section. The same events that occurred there (such as the player saying they are still too frightened from what just happened) will also occur here, as it has looped back into those events - albeit with a different way of getting there.

Physique Check Fail

If the player runs, they do just that - turning and running. Whitney releases their hold on Kylar, and tries to give chase, but Kylar trips them over. The player rushes down the stairs, through the now-open front door, and into the red moonlight. Footsteps thunder down the old stairs, but the player keeps running, even after making it to the trees. They keep running for several more minutes, before taking cover behind a tree and listening in, the player not seeming to hear any pursuers. They wonder if Kylar got away while the group chased the player.

If the player decides to help Kylar, a Physique check is required. There are two possible outcomes as to whether or not the player succeeds with the check.

If the player fails: They grasp Whitney's arms, but they shove the player to the ground. Before the player can stand, their friends are on top of them, holding down the player's arms and legs. Whitney pushes Kylar aside, into the arms of another of their friends. They grasp the player's hair and pulls them to their knees.

Whitney shifts their loincloth aside, revealing their genitals. They point at Kylar, telling their friends to "make sure the creep (Kylar) watches", before looking down at the player. "What are you waiting for, slut? Get to work."

This gives the player the same three options as before:

  • Grudgingly do as Whitney asks | + + Trauma | + Stress
  • Enthusiastically do as Whitney asks | Promiscuity 4
  • Refuse

The former two options loop back into the options just as before - the player hesitates if they grudgingly do as Whitney asks. This time, Whitney rests a hand on the player's head before clutching the player's hair. One of Whitney's friends will once again hold Kylar's head back, forcing them to watch the sexual encounter unfold.

Refuse (Part 2)

Choosing to refuse has the player say the following, and also diverts into it's own option of choices:

  • Defiant: "Fuck off, pervert," you say. "You can't make me."
  • Neutral:  "You can't make me," you say.
  • Submissive: "I-I don't want to," you say. "You can't make me."

Whitney laughs in response to the player's words, nodding at one of their friends stood besides their Kylar. Their friend rummages through Kylar's pockets, before pulling out a knife.

They hold it to Kylar's throat. | + + + Trauma | + + + Stress

Whitney threatens the player, stating hat they will ask one more time for the player to "get to work." Kylar's expression is blank, but tells the player to "d-don't do it."

  • Do as Whitney asks
  • Refuse | + + + Stress

Backed into a corner, the player may finally submit to Whitney, causing the event to loop back into the "Do as Whitney asks" sexual options.

However, they can refuse one more time - for a drastic hit to Stress. This has the player shakes their head, with Whitney saying the following: "Are you fucking serious?"

Whitney says "Fucking fine," before shoving the player to the ground. They march towards Kylar, telling their friend to give them the knife, discarding it afterwards. Instead, Whitney pulls back their hand and punches Kylar's nose. Kylar falls backwards, unmoving. Whitney states that they are "done here", before marching from the room as their friends follow. This is a large hit to Whitney's Dominance stat.

When they are gone, the player crouches besides Kylar. They see that Kylar is conscious, although blood trickles from their nose. This is a drastic hit to their Jealousy stat. The player helps Kylar up to their feet, and together walk down the stairs to head outside.

Despite the ordeal, Kylar seems elated, although they ask the player to stop before the pair arrive back at the town. They lean against a tree to catch their breath, their costume and hair once again a disheveled mess. Without warning, they lunge towards the player, wrapping their arms tight around them - giving the player two familiar options.

  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1 | + + Love | + + Lust
  • Pull away | - Love

For both outcomes, refer back to the "A Terrifying Fright" section. The same events that occurred there (such as the player saying they are still too frightened from what just happened) will also occur here, as it has looped back into those events - albeit with a different way of getting there.

Kylar's Disappearance (part 8)

If the player made Whitney orgasm or successfully fight them off instead of refusing their sexual advances or overpowering them with Physique, Whitney's advances will continue.

Whitney's friends surround the player, groping and probing, but Whitney interrupts, asking where the creep went. Their friends look around, noticing Kylar seems to have disappeared. Whitney proceeds to call their friends "dumb fucks", telling them that Kylar's done a "runner" - they wanted Kylar to watch Whitney's sexual advances, as a show of dominance.

They leave the room, and shines their phone light down the stairwell. They call out to their friends that the door is shut, and that Kylar is still in here, but most importantly says the following: "Whoever finds them gets an extra turn with my slut."

Whitney sits on the bed beside the player as their friends disperse into the manor, searching for Kylar. "Sorry for the wait," Whitney says. "But you'll feel better getting gangbanged with-"

A scream interrupts them. Whitney grasps the player's arm, and pulls them to their feet. They state that they are not leaving the player alone, before pulling them away from the room. The player and Whitney follow the hallway in the direction of the scream, and find a boy/girl lying motionless on the ground, surrounded by a circle of Whitney's other friends.

"I-I'm done," the boy/girl says, their voice trembling. "They say the place is haunt-"

Whitney interrupts them with a direct smack to the face, telling them to not be a "fucking coward" as they crouch besides the body. They note that it's just "that creep" (Kylar), hiding in the shadows and playing with those stolen "tranqs" - referring to Kylar's infamous tranquiliser darts. They feel the boy/girl's neck, stating that they are fine, and for someone to help her up.

The door slams shut.

"I know you're in here, freak," Whitney says. They say to come out now, and they will let Kylar "join the train", but to no response. Their friends seem afraid to even move.

The player feels a tremor beneath their feet, which builds until the whole room shakes. Furniture shakes across the floor, and paintings tremble off their hooks.

Something groans near the window, and the boy/girl loses it. They make a run for the door, but it is locked, causing them to bash their fists against it - babbling all the while. The others follow suit, all except Whitney, and even they seem unnerved by the events unfolding in front of them. Their eyes flick around the window, searching for the source of the noise.

The door opens, and their friends tumble out. They flee down the stairs, the pair carrying the distraught boy/girl lagging behind and throwing panicked glances over their shoulders.

Whitney grasps the player's arm, they are more afraid than they would ever admit, but they do not make run like their friends. "I know you're in here," they repeat, their eyes darting around the room. They step toward the door, pushing the player ahead of them.

At this point, the player spots Kylar, hiding in the shadows besides the door frame - their eyes intense. Whitney steps backwards, drawing closer and unaware of the danger.

This gives the player two options, these diverting into different endings:

  • Watch
  • Warn Whitney

Watch

If the player watches the event unfold, Whitney steps into the corridor, and Kylar strikes.

They step forward, and presses something into Whitney's neck. Whitney spins and shoves Kylar, sending them prawling to the ground. Whitney pulls a dart from their neck as they step forward. Kylar scrambles away, but not fast enough. Whitney grasps their collar, but struggles to pull them up. Instead, Whitney sways on the spot, and collapses.

Kylar jumps to their feet, and grasps the player's arm. The player dodges a weak grasp by Whitney, and the pair escape down the stairs and into the red moonlight.

They keep running when they reach the forest, until Kylar stops to rest against a tree. Their clothes and hair are disheveled, but they are smiling.

"I-I won," they say, throwing their arms around the player. "You're all mine." | - - - Jealousy

  • Ask about Kylar's tricks
  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1 | + + Love | + + Lust
  • Pull away | - Love

If the player asks Kylar about their tricks:

  • Defiant:  "That rumbling you made," you say. "And the noise. It was terrifying. Good job."
  • Neutral:  "How did you make all that noise?" you ask. "And that rumbling. It was like an earthquake."
  • Submissive: "Y-you really scared them with that rumbling," you say. "And the noise. How did you do it?"

Kylar's expression does not change. They note that it was not in fact them, and they were only responsible for using their tranquilizers. They pull the player closer, seeming unbothered by the events that just occured. This removes the "Ask about Kylar's tricks" option.

Warn Whitney

If the player instead decides to warn Whitney, they will shout "Behind you!" to Whitney. Whitney turns just in time to catch Kylar's arm as they lunge forward. They bend the arm back, eliciting a cry as a dart clatters to the floor. Kylar attempts to punch with their other hand, but Whitney catches it, before lifting them above the ground and throwing them over the bannister. This adds a large boost to Whitney's Love stat.

Kylar crashes into the floorboards below, but manages to stagger to their feet. They hold their arm as they escapes through the front doors. This is a large hit to Kylar's Jealousy stat.

Whitney walks back into the room with the moving furniture, now silent. Through the window, the player spots see the last of their friends disappear into the forest - Kylar is nowhere to be seen.

"Fucking cowards," they say to themselves, still irritated at their friends. "Ruined a good thing."

They look at the player, before looking away, noting that they are done here. Whitney proceeds to head towards the stairs. This gives the player two options:

  • Accompany Whitney back to town
  • Walk back alone
Accompany Whitney

If the player chooses the first option, the player asks the following question to Whitney:

  • Defiant:  "Let's walk back together," you say.
  • Neutral:  "Do you want to walk back together?" you ask.
  • Submissive: "C-Can you walk me home?" you ask. "It's a scary night."

There are two outcomes to this event if Whitney is a love interest or not.

  • If Whitney is not a love interest, they will simply tell the player to "Fuck off" as the player follows them down the stairs, stating that they are "not in the mood." This leaves the player to walk into the red moonlight, with Whitney striding away, glancing back to make sure the player is not following.
  • If Whitney is a love interest, they will say "Fine," but also tells the player to "keep their sluttiness to themselves for once", stating once again that they are not in the mood. The player accompanies Whitney into the red moonlight, and through the surrounding forest. They remain silent, even when the lights of town appear up ahead.

There are two options given:

  • Thank Whitney | + Whitney's Dominance | + Love
  • Ask what's wrong | - Whitney's Dominance | - Love
Thank Whitney
  • Defiant: "Thanks for the company," you say.
  • Neutral:  "Thanks for walking with me," you say. "The woods are dangerous at night."
  • Submissive:"Thanks for looking after me," you say. "The woods are scary."

"It's fine," Whitney replies. They state how they have places to be, "gonna give those cowards a talking to, for one", for example.

They hesitate before leaning forward and proceeding to kiss the player. The player tries to hold them closer, but they step back and looks away. They opens their mouth as if to speak, but instead turns and strides into town. The player emerges onto Wolf Street, ending the event.

Ask what's wrong
  • Defiant:  "Something's up," you say. "I can tell."
  • Neutral:  "Is everything okay?" you ask.
  • Submissive:  "W-what's wrong?" you ask. "You can talk to me."

Whitney raises a hand to the player's chest, and pushes them against a tree. "What the fuck do you mean by that?" they spit. "You think there's something wrong with me?"

The player is prompted with three options:

  • Kiss | Promiscuity 1 | - Whitney's Dominance
  • Apologise | + Whitney's Dominance | + Love
  • Remain silent

If the player opts to remain silent, Whitney glares at the player for a moment, before letting their hand fall. They turn and stride into town.  The player emerges onto Wolf Street, ending the event.

If the player chooses to kiss them: Whitney leans close, close enough that the player can lean forward and plant a kiss on their lips. They step back as if struck. They are about to open their mouth to speak, but instead turns and strides into town. The player emerges onto Wolf Street, ending the event.

If the player apologises:

  • Defiant: "Stop overreacting," you say. "I'm sorry, okay?"
  • Neutral:  "Sorry," you say. "I didn't meant to upset you."
  • Submissive: "S-sorry," you stammer. "I didn't mean to upset you."

This has Whitney show an unlikely change of heart, releasing their grip. They state that they are not upset, but admits that they might have overreacted. In a sudden show of kindness unlike anything shown before, Whitney continues - saying they are sorry too, before turning and striding into town. The player emerges onto Wolf Street, ending the event.

Walk Back Alone

The player walks into the red moonlight. Whitney strides away, glancing back to make sure the player is not following. Once the player is alone, they find themselves in the forest cemetery.

Rewards

  • A successful(?) Halloween date with Kylar.. which is debatable.
  • A side was picked for the night - Kylar, or Whitney.
  • The true horror of the manor being discovered if the player gets the "A Terrifying Fright!" option.
  • The third and final of the Halloween "dates" completed.

Trivia

  • This questline is one of few quests that involves multiple love interests.
  • This is one of few events in the game to feature options related to maxing out a specific stat, such as Skulduggery.
  • This is the only event in the game to feature the Forest Cemetery.
  • This event was originally planned for the first Halloween update - Version 0.2.5 - but did not make the cut due to time constraints. However, it was added in Version 0.2.18, the following year after the first Halloween update to celebrate the annual Halloween season.
  • This is one of only a few events in the game to contain supernatural events that can't reasonably be explained away as a result of the player character's imagination, along with Schism -- which Jordan confirms as aligning at least loosely with historical events they could not realistically have heard about prior --and the briar scene in wasteland Community Service -- in which multiple other individuals react to a "hallucination" they have.
