Meadow

From Degrees of Lewdity Wiki

The Meadow is one of several places of interest the player can visit. It is located within the Farmlands network.

Description

"You are in a meadow ringed by tall trees. Long grass caresses your legs. A solitary oak stands in the middle. Bright flowers bloom in many colours."

How to Enter

The meadow can easily be accessed from the Farmlands. It can also be accessed through the Coastal path from Mer Street, provided the player has the school trait "Decent History" or better.

Notes

The meadow is an area surrounded by trees, with long grass, blooming colourful flowers, and a solitary oak in its middle.

The Coastal Path leads here, making the Meadows a connection between the Farmlands and Mer Street.

If the player has an ear slime, the ear slime may order the player to relax in the meadow.

The player can choose:

  • Relax (1:00) | - Stress
  • Make a plant top/skirt here (0:10) - Only if the player is feeling exposed (not wearing a top or bottom clothing item)
  • Coastal Path (0:30) - Requires Decent History
  • Enter the farmlands (0:10)

People of Interest

  • A mischievous fox. More information below.

Events

Mischievous Fox

This event has a 10% chance of triggering, but only happens if the player is fully clothed. If they aren't clothed, they will simply have a pleasant nap, removing 120 points of fatigue.

The player will fall asleep and find that their clothes have been taken. The player looks around and sees a fox/fox-person carrying their clothes in the mouth. There are two variants of this event, with each having a 50% chance of happening. The fox/fox-person will either run for the trees or disappear over a ridge. The first of these has a feat associated with its successful completion. Regardless, the player can ignore it, leaving their clothes; or chase it, in hopes of getting them back.

Chasing Into the Forest

If the player chooses to chase down the fox, they will find it enter a hole. The player may:

  • Burrow | Vixen
    • This choice requires the player to have the fox transformation, at least stage 4.
  • Squeeze Through
    • This choice requires the player to have a small size, corresponding to a lower physique.
  • Crawl inside
    • This has no requirements, however will lead to an encounter as the player gets stuck. The player will not be able to use their arms.

Regardless of what the player chooses, they will crawl deeper until they reach a sheer drop. The player can either climb down (using their Athletics skill), dive down into the water (using their Swimming skill) or glide with Wings. An S rank in either skill guarantees success.

There are two endings to this event, depending on whether or not the player has the toggle monster-people enabled:

  • If disabled or the player doesn't have any hallucinations: The fox (not a fox-person) will leave a stone talisman behind among the player’s clothing and run away. This is one of the antiques Winter is looking for in the Museum. With this new antique in hand, the player returns to the meadow.
    • Forgive
      • The player accepts their apology, taking the stone talisman if the player has not received it before.
    • Present Yourself | (Deviancy 1 | Vixen OR Deviancy 4)
      • There are two ways to access this option, this begins a consensual encounter with the fox.
  • If enabled: The fox-person asks the player for forgiveness, offering them the aforementioned stone talisman. The player has several options on dealing with the fox:
    • Accept/Forgive
      • The player accepts their apology, taking the stone talisman if the player has not received it before.
    • Present Yourself | (Deviancy 1 | Vixen OR Deviancy 4)
      • There are two ways to access this option, this begins a consensual encounter with the fox.
    • Punish | Deviancy 2 | Defiant | - Trauma - Stress
      • The player brings the fox to orgasm as punishment, but doesn't affect the outcome of the event.

Regardless of the player’s choice, the fox will leave and the player will return to the Meadow with the talisman and their clothes back.

Chasing Over the Ridge

Chasing the fox/fox-person over the ridge starts with an Athletics check. A C+ guarantees success. Should the player fail, they loose the fox and return back to the meadow without their clothes. If they succeed, they will follow the fox as it makes a turn for the trees. Here, a Skulduggery check happens, with even an S rank not guaranteeing success (95% chance).

Success leads to the player noticing a trap and evading it, catching the fox/fox-person. The event now depends on whether the player was chasing a normal fox or a fox-person (foxgirl/foxboy), like above.

Failure leads to the player hanging from a tree, their leg tied by a rope. They have three choices here:

  • Struggle (0:10) | + Pain - If at least one of their arms isn't bound. Success is only guaranteed with maximum physique and a Large body, but possible at all levels of physique.
    • Success leads to the player freeing themselves and returning to the meadow, without retrieving their clothes from the fox.
    • Failure leads to a person appearing, who lets the player down from the tree. There is an equal chance of them entering a non-consensual encounter with the player or asking what happened.
      • If they try to rape the player and the player pleasures them, they will walk away as the player returns to the meadow. However, if the player defeats them, they will get trapped in one of their own traps, allowing the player to:
        • Help - The player hands them their knife back before quickly leaving.
        • Walk away | Defiant - The player quickly leaves the person hanging there.
        • Rob - Robbing them will provide the player with between £60 - £200 before leaving.
      • If they ask the player what happened then regardless of their answer, the person will provide them with some towels before leaving.
  • Squirm (0:10) - Success depends on the Dancing skill, with an S rank guaranteeing success.
    • This works exactly the same as if the player struggled.
  • Call for help - This has the same effect as if the player had attempted to struggle or squirm and failed, therefore there is little reason not to at least attempt to struggle/squirm.

Unlockables

As for items, an Antique (the Stone Talisman) can retrieved from a mischievous fox who steals the player’s clothing (see the event above).

The above event with the mischievous fox, specifically chasing it into the forest, has one event associated with it:

Feat name Hint Description Requirement Notes Rank
Cornered Rogue "Outfox a mischievous rogue." "Recovered your clothes from a mischievous fox." Successfully manage to catch the clothes-thief fox. The player must successfully chase, corner, and retrieve their clothes from the fox.
