Notice of wiki closure
Hi there,
While we generally don't tend to explain wiki closures in such length, due to the controversy generated here, it feels appropriate.
Following several reports received over the past year to Stewards and Trust and Safety regarding this wiki, multiple Stewards have reviewed the content on Degrees of Lewdity Wiki and we have decided to close it. This decision was not taken lightly and during preliminary discussions, we fully considered the fact that we want to be as least intrusive as possible in terms of closing wikis. The reason for why the wiki was closed is that even if the wiki claims numerous times that the characters are over the age of 18, the situations which are presented such as school clearly do not correspond to people over the age of 18. In some articles, sexual and/or inappropriate acts are described as taking place in school and the entire premise of the game is to play as an orphan who is pressured by the head of the orphanage to pay increasingly exorbitant amounts or be sold. This game dabbles in elements of "maybe legal, maybe not," too much for Miraheze to comfortable host it. We have received plenty of reports about this wiki and the association to this game has caused trouble for wikis moving on here. The majority of users perceive this as a real issue on the borderline of legality and morality and as such, we have had to close this wiki.
We have generated database dumps and image dumps of this wiki, available at Special:DataDump. You have 30 days to download this content after which this wiki will be deleted. If you have already downloaded the content, feel free to request an early deletion of this wiki. Thank you for your understanding.
