Virginities are one of several gameplay mechanics within Degrees of Lewdity. A first-time for everything, this will track the player's first occurrence of something happening to them.

Overview

Just like in real life, the player's virginities are seen as something that as soon as it is taken, it can never come back. They can be lost inside and outside of combat, via certain events. However, certain ones will be locked to combat only, and others (while achievable in combat) will be much more difficult to do so during combat.

Virginity Types

There are five virginities to keep track of:

• Penile OR vaginal virginity (a hermaphrodite PC will have both to keep track of) (Combat only)
• Handholding virginity
• First kiss virginity
• Anal virginity (requires the "Anal" toggle to be enabled) (Combat only)
• Oral virginity (Combat only)

The most essential virginities to keep track of are the main three - penile/vaginal, oral and anal.

Where to Find

Combat-only virginities, as the name suggests, can only be found in combat. As such, they will not be listed here. However, while the other two virginities - first kiss and handholding - can be lost within combat, there are several unique events that potentially involve the loss of them outside of combat.

The player's reaction to their first kiss/handholding depends on the circumstances of the scene. These circumstances can be divided into four categories: Romantic, Consensual, Conflicted, and Nonconsensual.

Handholding

The player can lose their handholding virginity within these events:

With Love Interests:

Robin

• Taking Robin's hand when buying them a new picnic basket. | Romantic
• Taking Robin's hand while watching a horror movie. | Romantic
• During the walk home from a superhero movie after giving Robin oral. | Romantic
• When accepting Robin's confession. | Romantic
• When walking to or from school with Robin once in a relationship. | Romantic

Whitney

• When trick-or-treating with Whitney. | Romantic
• There's a chance when Whitney approaches the player at the school gates once in a romance. | Romantic

• Eden will take your handholding virginity when grasping your hands through the bars of the asylum fence. | Romantic
• When walking to the lake with Eden and choosing to grab their hand. | Romantic
• When leaving the lake after choosing just to admire the view, then taking Eden's hand when they offer it. | Romantic
• When Eden helps you out of the bathtub during their Valentine's Day event. | Romantic
• When Eden goes looking for the player throughout the town, provided their Love is high enough for them to be worried rather than angry, the player has several opportunities to hold hands with them.

  • When persuading Eden to go shopping or to go for a walk in the park with the player (requires their Love to be at least at 80%). Both lead to Eden holding the player's hand. | Romantic

Great Hawk

Note: The Great Hawk can only hold the player's hand if they are a monster-person.

Effects

As long as the player's penile/vaginal virginity is intact, they will possess the Virgin trait, which causes Purity to recover faster. Note that a hermaphrodite player will still lose the trait even if only one of their virginities is taken.

The immediate effects of losing a virginity varies based on the specific virginity, as well as the circumstances that caused the player to lose that virginity. Generally, losing a virginity by force causes great Stress and Trauma to the player, while giving them consensually - especially to a love interest - soothes them. Losing their penile, vaginal, or anal virginity will always cause Pain, even in consensual situations; in the case of vaginal or anal, how much the act hurts depends on the size of whatever's penetrating the player.

As for long-term consequences, losing one's virginity has little effect outside of certain interactions, most notably within the Temple. Losing the player's penile/vaginal virginity also prevents them from acquiring the Angel Transformation. If the player is already an angel when they lose either of those virginities, they will become a Fallen Angel, if player is utterly defiled, they will become a Demon.

Player Reactions

If the player's virginity is taken, they will respond appropriately.

Penile

• If taken via vaginal sex: He/she eases your virgin penis into his/her pussy, separating your foreskin from your glans and forever robbing you of your purity.
• If taken via anal sex: He/she eases your virgin penis into his/her ass, separating your foreskin from your glans and forever robbing you of your purity.

Vaginal

• If taken by a tiny penis: His/her penis thrusts deep into your virgin pussy, breaking your hymen and forever robbing you of your purity. While technically no longer a virgin, you can barely feel it.
• If taken by an average or thick penis: His/her penis thrusts deep into your virgin pussy, tearing your hymen and forever robbing you of your purity.
• If taken by a huge penis: His/her penis thrusts deep into your virgin pussy, obliterating your hymen and forever robbing you of your purity. You scream out as your pussy struggles to accommodate his/her cock.

Anal

• He/she thrusts his/her penis deep into your virgin anus, violating you in a way you hadn't conceived of.
  • If taken by a tiny penis: While your ass is technically no longer virgin, you can barely feel it.
  • If taken by a huge penis: You scream as your ass struggles to accommodate his/her cock.

Oral

Just as the player reacts to having their virginity taken, several notable NPCs will comment upon taking the player's virginity, or when they're about to.

Robin

• Penile/vaginal: He/she gasps. "You saved yourself for me. I don't deserve something so special. Thank you." Tears roll down his/her cheeks.
• Anal: He/she gasps. "This is so naughty!"
• Oral: He/she gasps. "You're making me feel funny down there."

Eden

• Penile/vaginal: He/she speaks. "I felt your virginity. I couldn't help it. I needed to take you."
• Anal: He/she speaks. "I know this hurts now, but you'll get used to it soon."

Avery

NPC Virginities

The player isn't the only one at risk of being defiled. The player is able to take NPCs' virginities themselves, though not every NPC will have one to give up. The number of virginities the player has taken from others is tracked in the Statistics tab.

Most named NPCs follow the same rules as generic NPCs in which the virginities they have are randomly generated. Other NPCs, as listed below, have more (or fewer) of their virginities intact.

• Robin, Kylar and Sydney start with all their virginities intact.
• Alex and Wren start with none of their virginities intact.
• The Black Wolf and the Great Hawk have their anal, oral, first kiss and handholding virginities intact.
• Eden has their anal, oral and handholding virginities intact.

The following named NPCs also potentially have virginities stored away, however, since the player is currently unable to initiate a lewd encounter with these NPCs, their virginities are safe.

• Briar, Darryl, Gwylan and Sirris start with none of their virginities intact.
• Jordan has all but their handholding virginity intact.
• Charlie has their oral, anal and penile/vaginal virginities intact.
• Sam and Mason have their anal and oral virginities intact.

Taking an NPC's Virginity

When the player is about to take someone's virginity during an encounter, the message "This action will deflower him/her" will appear, just like when the player is about to perform an action that would take their own virginity. Should the player choose to go through with the act, one of the following messages will appear, depending on the virginity being taken.

• Vaginal: You feel his/her hymen tear, forever robbing him/her of his/her purity. | + + Arousal
• Penile: You feel his/her foreskin separate from his/her glans, forever robbing him/her of his/her purity. | + + Arousal
• Anal: It's a tight fit. This is probably his/her first time doing this. | + + Arousal
• Oral: He/she looks surprised, as if he/she wasn't expecting the taste. This is probably his/her first time. | + + Arousal
• Handholding: His/her hand clenches, and he/she looks slightly nervous.

Additionally, if the player possesses the full Demon Transformation when taking someone's penile/vaginal virginity, they'll receive a reduction to their Stress and Trauma alongside the following prompt:

• You feel a surge of pleasure unlike any other as you defile him/her and spread your impurity. | - - - Stress | - - - Trauma

Trivia

• Originally, handholding and first kiss virginities did not exist. They were added in Version 0.2.21.
• Robin was the first named NPC to have their own unique virginity loss lines.
  • Interestingly, Robin does not have any lines regarding the player giving their first kiss to them. This is likely due to the fact that, without using cheats, it is impossible for the player to give Robin their first kiss in an encounter as they will always kiss the player during their confession of love.
• Although Avery has several scenes in which they can take the player's handholding virginity, many of them functionally serve no purpose as Avery will always hold the player's hand on their first date.
